It was a great success the Thursday night’s Italian-themed party presented by Vittorio di Mauro, president of the J/70 Italian Class and the fleet manager Giulia Albuzio to kick off ‘worldwide’ the next edition of the Alcatel J/7o World Championship to be held in Porto Cervo (Sardinia, Italy) from September 12-16, 2017. The Italian Consul General in San Francisco, Lorenzo Ortona attended the ceremony hosted in the beautiful setting and accommodations offered by St. Francis Yacht Club. While enjoying some great Italian food and sipping Spritz – Italy’s most iconic cocktail – sailors involved in Frisco’s event have been given a taste of what has to come in Italy next year. A nice video trailer has been released on that purpose and next Alcatel J/70 Cup has been planned to offer a great opportunity to warm up in sight of Porto Cervo’s Worlds through 4 prior stages summing up in the next year’s Alcatel J/70 World Championship. We are working for giving you the best possible experience of Italy and while waiting for next year’s event, here it comes the recipe for a perfect Spritz: get a tumbler or a large balloon glass and fill it with 3 parts prosecco, 2 parts Aperol and a splash of club soda. If you don’t like too bitter, lower the ratio of Aperol to Prosecco, but you don’t really need to measure, it’s more of an eyeball thing.
